Additions

  • Added first level boss
    • Encountered after surviving 3 minutes
    • Has 3 attack patterns and speeds up over time
  • Added Upgrades system/menu
    • Added upgrades:
      • Max Lives Up
      • Maneuverability Up
      • Damage Up
      • Crit Chance Up
        • Damage text displays as red when damage is critical
      • Crit Damage Up
      • XP Gain Up
      • Stardust Find Up
  • Added Missions system/menu
    • Added 10 missions:
      • Destroy Asteroids
      • Destroy UFOs
      • Destroy Goons
      • 1 mission each for getting kills with each starter weapon
  • Added Codex menu
    • Added codex entries for all 6 existing enemies
  • Added button in settings menu to reset all progress
  • Added setting for mobile control style
    • Steer makes your ship move left when you tap on the left side of the screen, and right when you tap on the right.
    • Follow makes your ship follow your taps.
  • Enemies now flash red when damaged

Changes

  • Stardust now spawns in various patterns based on a timer. Stardust no longer drops from enemies.
  • Minigun has been reworked. It no longer spins up or down to increase/decrease shoot speed. It now fires at max rate while staying still, and doesn’t fire at all while moving. Spin Up Rate upgrade replaced with Accuracy Up. Base accuracy reduced.
  • Weapon damage and enemy health have been doubled
  • Base maneuverability has been lowered
  • Base lives reduced from 5 to 3
  • Beam Sword no longer requires you to continue moving once it has begun to swing
  • Performance hiccup when loading new song has been fixed
  • Various weapon balance tweaks

Known issues / bugs

  • Green and white sword sprites can sometimes separate
  • Sword swinging is inconsistent
  • Minigun fire rate can sometimes be too high temporarily after leveling up spin rate increase
